I am wanting to know the origin of manufacture of the GQ, Wiki says either south africa or spain can anyone confirm where the Aussie version came from. Cheers

As far as I'm aware all jap and made for and shipped to various countries from Japan .
We do have some in oz that have been imported privately from these other countries but ours have Nissan Australia on the compliance plate .

I am Getting a 95 model but not sure of where it comes from. Acorrding to Wiki Japan stoped making them in 93. So that leaves Spain and South Africa.

There is nothing in the fourth generation y60 that says it was made in Japan. Not sure where you got that from.

first line says the nissan patrol has been made in japan since 1951...thats what i was going on..

Ok gotcha yeah I saw that but the Nissan patrol has been made in Japan,India, Spain, South Africa,and Italy. lol

yeah ok..has it been made or assembled like our mitsubishi's use to be..made in japan but assembled in oz..dunno mate..might have to do more googling me thinks..

And you're probably right about some being built elsewhere , I don't speak Spanish but if you look at the plate you will find an English word and what could be the Spanish word for plant and transaxle I think the word is .

maybe,,thats what i was getting at..mum bought a (sigma salloon------ah the world hates me)...says built in oz..but reality manufactured in JP

There is a code letter for which plant in Japan but I have not been able to find any info

Or necessarily accurate either, 'cos anybody can edit the information.
But, for the most part, most information in it is accurate, I think.

Even Nissan in Oz are missing bits of info , try ringing your local dealer and ask for engine parts for a 94RX 4.2td auto and they will say computer says no .

Never thought about the mav and Nissan and parts so it's the same story then , sorry sir our computer shows no results for that model .
