Hi all looking at redoing my suspension. Wondering if anyone is using superior engineering remote shocks? And what thay think of them? My aim is to have a reliable tough tourer but the price of kings shocks are out of my budget.
Thanks heaps

FWIW Craig mate, my mountain heavy ute is now running simple big Koni 90s and have read on here other blokes heavy touring without failure on same. Mrs MB’s wagon runs Koni 88’s over inner braced spring airbags without fail yet either, Cheers!

Hi thanks had a bit of a Google about koni i like the sound of them. Can be rebuilt and adjustable. Can not find any info on shock lengths tho. Do you know if thay make them for a 4in lift?

Honestly don’t know Craig sorry mate. Had the blokes at PatrolApart fit my 90’s a few years back on only 2” lift needs. Cheers Mark

Hi Craig. Also have the Koni 90s and they are beasts mate but max 2" suspension lift (or was when I bought mine 7-odd years ago).

Try Toperformance - they are the Vic Agents, importer of Koni's.

Got great service from Outlaw Speed Shop in Adelaide when I was shopping. Local Koni agent was a terrible experience. Cheaper for same product to my door from Outlaw Speed Shop and great attitude unlike my local Koni.

Edit: Wasnt Top Performance tho. Im in Geelong.

These superior engineering remote shocks may be worth a go. I think they are superior engineering build (claimed to be Australian spec'd), based on the AmandaXtreme remotes. No personnel experience with either.

But buy once.

I run Koni 88s ($1285 18mths ago).
I had good service from Zordoz 4X4 for Koni 88s unless you need the bigger 90 shocks.

Also use rear airbag with 2" lift Dobinson coils. I have 150kg rear bar (loaded up & varies) along with tow.

You could also look at fox shocks aswell. They are a similar price range to superior. There are a few companies that have support.
I don't have any of the new superior shocks I do have an uninstalled set of their old SRC's, and Kings that are installed, and Koni 88's on my road car.
Superior atleast have some decent after sales support with their gear, same as companies that sell fox. Also they can and will custom valve for your needs if required.

Personally I prefere mono tubes over twin tubes
