Hi, just wondering if someone can help, my alternator has an intermittent fault where it outputs around 36v to my 24v system.

Sounds like the regulator is shot.

Have you checked the cables are secure on the alternator?

G'day mate and welcome to the forum. Alternator - what PeeBee said - regulator. I had a shot one on 12 volt system putting out 19 volts.
