As per the title, I thought I'd introduce myself here.

I am from Perth, WA. I just bought a 1994 GQ Coil Cab with 181000kms for an absolute steal. It's a blacktop TD42 and so far all I've done is changed the engine oil, and all the filters (oil, air, fuel). I am extremely excited about getting stuck into building it up!

I've only just got my learner's license and as such don't earn much money, so any advice would be appreciated as to where to start my mods.

Thanks for the opportunity to join the community.

G'day young fella.

Welcome to the forum and glad to see another Sandgroper on here.

I've got a rellie in Armadale, so hope to catch up with you one day.

You gotta sort out your wants versus needs.

Buying the ute is the cheap bit. It's all the mods that will cost you.

It's taken me about 5 years to get my ute the way I want it.

You get on these forums and they frighten the crap out of you, so I've got more recovery gear than a 4wd shop. lol.

Mine's a blacktop 4.2TDi - it never goes off road apparently - according to some. lol.

Have a look at my signature with my mods, and remember, it took about 5 years to get it the way I wanted it.

Take care out there.

Rossco
