Hi Every one.
I have an RD28 Powered GQ (357000Kms)6 with some starting issues. Cold starts seem ok about 10 revolutions before starting . i usually wait until the glowplug light goes out and wait a few seconds till i see the volt meter move slightly and hear a solenoid click in the engine bay and then start.

On hot starts it seems to take ages and i get to about 20 revolutions then start the process again. There is no click of the solenoid when warmed up assuming the major glow isn't necessary. but still a pain.

After reading i would like to see if the advance plate for the GU's hot start fix similar issues for the GQ dose anyone know if its able to be installed in the GQ.

Thank you

I know virtually nothing about this issue, have read about it, but I do know you can't use this GU plate in the GQ...

Talked to Nizzbits and they mentioned that it will fit the pump but they are not sure if it will resolve the issue on a GQ. i'm leaning towards Glowplug setup as when its warm i dont hear the relay click and its hard to start. Glowplug light only satays on for 2 seconds or so). thiking of lust bypassing the glow computer for hot starts so i can give a little glow to help it start. Mornings are no issues at all.

Anyone have pictures of the bypasses they have done and where they tapped into the harness for the momentary switch to activate the relay. Pictures would be great. i dont want to remove the glow ECU as i think it runs the taco?

Interesting. I see some EBay sellers list them the same too.
