Just wondering if replacement automatic gearboxes are available for a 1983 2.8 litre petrol Patrol?

If so where do you get them?

Maybe ring wholesale automatics in Melbourne. Other than that, the yellow pages, or get the old one rebuilt maybe.

Would anyone know what the gearbox is called and what model descriptor it has, eg BW Type 35 (I know its not a BW35)

A quick google brings up that its a 3 speed Jatco 3N71 transmission.
