I have a Warn winch XD 9000 fitted to my Origanal (spelt that way hahaha) Nissan ARB torro ca ca bar
and the winch is back way to far, the rollers are behind the leading edge of the bar work .
anyone know where i can get a spacer to bring the set up forward , if thats safe to do that is.
i was going to use it this arvo on a car down a ditch but when the cable touched the bar work and completly missed the rollers , i changed my mind , and towed him out in stead .
thanks

Seriously though,
I have an ARB bar (origanal) And the XD9000 is the winch they recommend.
There are a couple of ARB bars one with posts and one with tube uprights.
I have had both and no dramas with either.
Can you show us some pics of yours so we can see what the problem is.
Cheers Gavin

I am such a slow typer that 4 posts got between my replies!
Put up some pics, I am seriously interested in what is happening with your bar and winch Paul.
No good if you can't use it in a recovery situation!
Cheers Gavin

Something is definately out of whack,
especially if it states the XD9000 is the recommended winch.

I await the pics to enlighten the situation.

That's how they all are Paul, the way I stopped mine rubbing on the bar was to space the fairlead out toward the front of the bar futher with longer bolts
and flat bar spacers.

if you look closely you can see the scrape marks left by the cable and that was just starting to tension it up

that does not look like an ARB bar looks more like a TJM or something,,,,,, you wont be able to move the winch itself forward as in the photos it looks hard up agianst the inside of the bar already,,,,, how ever i did notice a fitting bolts to the fairlead ass (rollers) you may be able to put a spacer behind the fairlead ass and that way move it forward so that it clears the bar. just bear in mind the fairleads and the hook on the cable must not protrude further the bar work. hope this helps

it was a absolute b!tch to fit took Oppisite Lock most of the day
and i cant find a spacer plate to fit the fairlead to move it forward , not sure i like the idea of washers behind the fairlead

Sir Roofy
