Hello Everyone,

joined up to speak to people about building a cape truck, as circumstances have changed in my life and need to find something to do with my time. Currently live in the UK but am planning a trip to the Cape in 2020 so need to find a vehicle and some setups to get inspiration from.

Well, might want to start your build with a larger tank upgrade, as it's a long drive from UK to Cape !

Welcome to the forum.

Hello Dave , long drive from the UK to OZ mate , by the time you get here it will mostly be bitumen the way there going up there so I'm told .
I'll kick it off by saying mud tyres , snorkel and winch , are you going to do the build here or in the U.K ?

Hi GQ
build will be done in Townsville, one of my mates up here has space for me to leave the car and work on.

Not Clive Palmer , I hear he has got a big shed there doing nothing .
You need to tell us a bit more , and have you a Nissan model in mind etc .
