Hi,
I have a 04 GU 4.8 Patrol. Have a couple of issues to ask about.
1. the inlet manifold has a butterfly valve assembly inside it. There are 2 bolts that hold it in place on the arm that opens and closes. On my 4x4, the 2 bolts came undone. One went into cyclinder #6 and the other was sitting in #3. There was a bit of damage as the blots got jammed between the valves causing lack of power when driving. Anyway, took it to the workshop and had the top part redone, head, new gaskets, etc. Runs like new.
Should I ask Nissan if they would cover some of the bill?
2. Just this morning the engine warning light MIL came on. I have disconnected the battery to see if it will reset with no luck. I will be taking it back to the workshop tomorrow to get the scan tool on it to see what the issue is.
Any ideas and input is appreciated.
