Hey Guys,

Below are the scenarios that I can think of the ways the engine fails due to head, head gasket or engine block issues.

Water to oil

Oil to water

Water to combustion chamber

Oil to combustion chamber(Rare I think?)

Water to outside

Oil to outside

Compression issues from combustion gas leak cylinder to cylinder
cylinder to outside
cylinder to water (or oil)
valve seat/valve recession)

Compression, oil blow-by, smoke issues from worn oil scraper rings

Smoke issues from worn valve guide seals(smoke on idling, no smoke on revving)

Let me know if I need to correct or add more scenarios or details.

Thanx

Dom

I'm not sure either. It's just a thought that popped into my head. :)
I wasn't actually taking the excessive blow-by from piston ring wear into account.
That needs to be added.
