Nissan Navara zd30 Lost oil pressure

Hi Guys, After a major engine recondition and after 1000kls oil light came on. I removed oil pressure sender unit and fitted a pressure gauge--nil pressure. I then put a finger over hole and cranked engine-- no pressure.
Has anyone got any sugestions on any more tests i can do before i have to take the engine out. Regards Robert Fair.

Oil pick up broken/fallen off?. All I can think of that would give zero pressure. Not much help sorry. Good luck with it.
