Hi guys n gals
2004 GU zd30 , replaced alternator yesterday .When I connected the 2nd battery I had it in the wrong way .
It had run out of fuel I have primed the system , I cant seem to get it to start .
Have I fried the ecu ??

I'd be checking all the fusable links and fuses. Putting the battery in backwards, particularly the second (aux) battery shouldnt fry the ECU Even Mr Nissan should be able to predict that someone (many) would do that and have protection in the system. Check the main fusable link under the bonnet. Yendor ??

Do headlights work? Do ignition lights come on? Does it turn over?

I think the ignition relay is under the dash with the fuses and its blue in colour. You can swap it out for another relay for the same colour, just to see if this is your issue. I know if the IP's on these motors have an air lock in them, you can burn out the PCB on them, well so I have been told. I would think just running out of fuel would do anything though.
