Hi All,
Just bought a big mouth scoop to replace my standard GU scoop with 6 x 10mm nuts to remove and replace easy as right? It is, except removing the rubber shroud with a steel retaining bracket that is clipped on with plastic clips under the bonnet.
Before I totally make a mess of it, I thought I would ask if anyone has experience taking it off first. I checked the Y61 Manual section and no luck, searched the forums and tried Professor Google.
I have no idea how to access the clips and so on; they appear hidden away.

Yeah undo the nuts on the under side, the metal brace comes off, then the rubber, then the scoop from the top. Simple. Hit the bonnet with some polish after the scoop is off too.

So Pete, where did you get a big mouth scoop. I thought the guy had stopped production?

Back on topic, I feel like a bit of a Noob as I cannot for love or money find where the nuts underneath are to take the metal brace off... The foam seal isn't glued over the top of it is it?

The lower black plate needs to come off first, from memory its longer than the rubber itself. So it may look deceiving.
See the black plate in the pic, its longer to match the longer hole in the bonnet.

Done! There were six black plastic screws hidden in under the foam. Once peeled away, it was a matter of popping them out and all good.
Thanks for everone's help, it was really useful.

This is only standard width just higher opening mudski - your A.R.E scoop would have been wider yeah ?

No. Same width and depth, just higher. Not real clear pic but you can see how much higher it is...

LaughingBeagles Hey Pete , I noticed a bit of air escaping from the scoop when I did the run to Ravensthorpe last week. Could see it with the dust and rain showing a pattern behind the scoop. Anyway I have made a deflector from a bit of plastic and sicaflexed it on. Seems to get a bit more air going down instead of getting trapped in the back of the scoophttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2017/10/25.jpg

We recently just bought a 1933 Victoria Convertible, and it has a set of matching luggage in the trunk. How can I find out more information about this luggage/suitcases?

Did you just use a trim removal tool to pop the plastic clips out? I don't want the damage them as I want to re-install the rubber seal back.

I'm about to go down this path very soon. My scoop is all painted and ready to go. But the pictures in this thread dont look like what mine is. My seal on the under side of the bonnet is a foam of some sort. I wonder if it has changed for the 2012 year. The rear 4 nuts look like an easy thing but the front two seem to be buried under the foam.
Has any one else come up against this??
Cheers, all.

Got any pics? As far as i know the design had not changed throughout the series. There is a longer metal plate under there, that has to be removed first.
