Hi Guys, first post so I hope i haven't done anything incorrectly.

This is probably (and hopefully) a dumb question. I have noticed a bit of sticky oil drops on the floor of the garage after my latest two outings in the ZD30 (This car is new to me, only driven a few times so still getting my head around stuff). Tonight i managed to get a quick look underneath and found quite a bit of oil or similar on the front axel and believe it could be coming from what looks to be a breather hose positioned above. I'm not 100% if this is normal, alarming or even a breather / overflow hose at all.

In the middle of the image below is the hose, which does appear to be the culprit.

Could somebody shed some light on if this is a lose hose / normal operation?

Thanks in advance:)

It looks like the drain hose off the oil filter drip tray.

The oil filter is a cartridge type, with a re-usable metal housing, so it is impossible not to spill oil on an oil change

Thanks for that happygu:) The filter was replaced a few weeks back so I guess that makes sense.

If you want to give it a quick degrease and a drive around then jump under it and see if you can see where it is coming from

go change the oil filter and change the O ring at the same time.
some ppl are slack and will not change the O ring, just lazy if you ask me
Also these ZD30 motors dont like being overfilled so keep oil level just under the full line

after you have changed the new filter and "O" ring take it down the car wash
and give it a decent clean, Be a bit wary water under that much pressure will
get in everywhere, use caution eh
