Hi guys. Ive noticed over the past few months that i get a slight hesitation at almost the exact same place within a few hundreds meters every morning around 4 minutes into the drive.
So I'll drive off and reach a certain bit of straight road and all of a sudden it will feel like im coasting in neutral for a second or two then off we go again and it happens like clockwork.
I know its not a distance thing, its a warm up time thing but it just happens to work out that i reach a certain area in that time.
Now my question is what would usually cause hesitation as it gets to a certain temperature.
Ive changed leads and plugs recently.

EFI or carby? (I've heard of carby TB45's).

Petrol or dual fuel?

Hesitation while engine's not fully warmed up, can be a result of auto choke system not working properly.

It's EFI petrol. Where's the auto choke. Is that the gear hanging off the thottlebody.

EFI auto choke is just the ECU causing injectors to spray extra fuel based on temperature settings and time, afaik.

What you can do is to open up air intake ducts and clean all the relevant sensors, MAF sensors, etc etc.

Yea that's been on the cards for a while. Maf probably needs a good clean. Do you know if they have an air intake temp sensor or is that possibly integrated into the maf. My old LS1 had it tapped straight into the intake pipe.

I do get a lot of oil on the rocker cover from the vacuum/pcv pipes so no doubt theres oil on sensors somewhere.

We need an input here from blokes who know a fair bit about EFI systems, and particularly TB45.
I'm not experienced with either one of the above, but can only make generalized comments .

If you're getting oil blown out of PCV and rocker cover breathers, then some kinda excessive blow-by or bad PCV valve or breather blockage may be to blame.
You need to find the reason for excessive blow-by & rectify it asap.
Also consider a compression test to rule out any engine internal issues.

My direct answer to your question is that, sorry I don't know. You need to refer to repair manual if you happened have a PDF or printed copy of it or wait for guys to post some information regarding the "Air Intake Temperature Sensor".
