Just thought I would introduce myself.
I have just brought a Series 2 Nissan Patrol, it has the ZD30 engine and auto transmission. It has 249k KMs, engine has never been touched. I have had blocked the EGR and installed a DAWS valve. I paid 13.5k for it.
Condition wise it is OK, a little dirty etc.
My only concern is it spent its first 5 years living in beach suburb. There is visible rust in places, nothing major, just when paint has been scratched etc. Couple spot welds etc. So not sure what I can do about that. But for the price I paid I am not too concerned.

I am Communications Technician by trade and am the Managing Director of a Car Audio and Communications company in Cape York, although I spend a fair bit of time in the West doing small contracts. The Patrol was brought here in the west and is my main transport here.
