Hi, when I bought the GU it had the factory reverse sensors and the factory round Nissan tow plug with only 6 wires.

I still have the reverse sensors and have wired the round Nissan plug wires to the standard 7 pin flat plug I had kicking around.

The flat 7 pin was from a Holden with reverse sensors so it also has extra wire "sockets" for reverse sensor wires. This disconnects them when the flap is up.

I cant seem to find any wires on the Nissan tow harness to use to isolate the reverse sensors when you have the trailer on.

Am I missing something or is there a way to wire them to turn the reverse sensors off when the trailer is connected?

The VE commodore I have was a plug an play affair. so I'm not sure what to do with the Nissan.

The current line up on the 7 pin plug I am using is:

Parking Aid Earth - No wire at the moment
Signal Right - Green
Tail Lamp - Brown
Aux/reverse - No wire at the moment
Earth - Thick White
Service Brake - Blue
Stop Lamp - Red
Signal Left - Yellow
Park Aid Ground - No wire at the moment

I need to use the parking aid earth and ground I think but am unsure how to cut them in.

Everything works correctly I just have a continual beep when in reverse due to the trailer being there.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Found this on the Narva website, might help you out.

Disconnect the earth from Reversing sensor & run to the input side(next to No. 1 pin). The plug then becomes the earth for the sensor.

Thanks guys. I've got the installation instructions from the dealer, they were kind enough to print off a copy. The brain is behind the LH tail light and the buzzer/beeper is behind the black vent on the left in the cargo area.

VK is onto it though, I think I can work it out now. A nice job for Saturday. It's been pissing me off so it will be a good job sorted.
