An open thread, with AB having the final decision.

Having attended my first Ute muster, I'm getting the hang of what's required.

The more bling you have, the more interest you get. lol

Accordingly, I'd like to propose that a NissanPatrol.com.au flag, be unveiled.

I'd like to see a white flag with the words NissanPatrol.com.au in red/grey with the lettering having a black outline, and maybe, at the owner/driver discretion, have their forum name at the bottom of the flag - ie. DX grunt.

I believe the flag should be big, bold and beautiful – big enough to be mounted on a broom handle. Lol.

I'm hoping to have the flag on my ute, on display at the Town ‘N’ Country Ute muster in Albany WA on 10/Nov/17

https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?app_id=183604471697057&u=https%3A%2F%2Fau.eventbu.com%2Falbany%2Ftown-n-country-ute-muster%2F313068&display=popup&ref=plugin&src=share_button

Does anybody know anybody who makes flags? I can inquire about it from over here if necessary.

Responses sooner rather than later would be appreciated.

Take care out there.

Rossco

The place that does my stickers etc would be able to make a flag,
even small ones like you see on Australia day,,mounted on the gutters.
Once you get a final design on a PDF I could get a quote if need be..

Great idea BTW

Fairly big.

Big enough for a broom handle to hold the weight/stress of it flapping in the wind. lol.

Great idea about the aerial flag.

Size and placement are important.

I'd hate for anybody to have a crash, or have the cops involved in any way, because they couldn't see properly. It could get quite messy, and costly.

There would obviously be many uses for the flags, but I was thinking mainly for, in my case, ute street parades and competition judging.

For DX grunt, I was thinking about an aerial flag at the front, and a big Forum flag and an Australian Flag at the back, on broom sticks.

Keep the ideas coming, people.

Take care out there.

I've already got a hi vis sand flag with a 12v light on the top. I wrap it up with a leckie tie when I'm travelling so that the wind doesn't desecrate it.

Sand flag would need to be orange flouro shade cloth with the Silver reflective cross.
not sure if theres any room left for a logo. A normal style flag will shred very quickly
even at 60kph

Dang! I was gonna suggest the same as taslucas. At least then it'd be useful. Can't imagine that there would be any other circumstances where I'd want to mount a flag on my car. I guess the ute muster mob must have a different mindset to me .......... nothing new in that though! LOL.

Hey @AB. I love the left hand bottom one, but the bottom right hand one with a red back ground would be more practicable in WA, with all the red dust.

Could you get me a quote for the bottom LEFT?

You'll need to read the bit at the top. I've changed it slightly. I'll need the writing on the flag to be legible when I go past people standing on the left hand footpath as I'm driving forward.

Instead of the cleats at the top and bottom, the edge of the flag will need to be stitched so I can slide the flag down the outside of a broom stick etc.

Hope this is as clear as stick on mud. lol.

EDIT: Please quote on bottom, left.

I think fabric is the way to go, due to their size.

I put a canvas type flag on my aerial and was too heavy under way.

Not sure what they have to offer. If they could quote on both, that would be great.
