Today I installed the Manta 3inch exhaust to my 2002 GU 3.0L di.
This had the added bonus of letting me clean and refit my EGT gauge which had not been working.
On a test drive I found the idle temp (once at operating temp) was 140 - 160. On the road at constant speed it was reading 220'ish. I didn't have any substantial hills to climb for a test reading.
Is this in the ball park for this model?

Sounds about right to me. My gauges never registered anything at idle though. Cruise speed read about 200-300 usually. Under full load up a hill I was getting around 500.

Good to know I am in the general ball park.
I will take on a hill tomorrow and see what it gets up to.

Thanks for the responses, it is good to have the gauge working at last.

The old Di engines tend to run a bit cooler to the crd so yea yours sounds spot on mate.
Mine is about 300 @ 110kmh
