I got me a Nissan but it only seats 4 (in truth actually 2). It's a "grey" black '93 (complied in '96) 300ZX twin turbo Targa 2+2 5 slot manual.
That's my "fun" car.
Here's the point of this thread; my daily drive is an awd '97 Subaru Impreza, which tows my tent trailer just fine.
I need to address a sad (or lifelong dream) reality. I'm turning 62 & face potential retrenchment towards the end of 2017, hence I need input!
Particularly about circa 2001 3ltr GU2 turbo diesel Patrol's!
I've found a ST manual for $15k drive away from a dealer, got 250k on the clock, snorkel, decent top rack.
Price seems a bit high (red book says $11900).
Bit my major concern is, am I buying a handgrenade?

G'day, and welcome to the forum. There is plenty of info on here about the ZD30. For 15K you have a few options to look at. I have just been researching buying a GU for a family member. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?39129-Shopping-for-a-GU

A good late model GQ TD42 is within your budget. The extra cash could be put to use for a few mods, too. An RD28T GU is another option as well. I wish you good fortune whichever way you decide to go.
