Seems a crazy dude in a commodore drove straight into ppl in the
Bourke st mall, He was taunting everyony doing donuts outside Flinders St station.
He is now in custody, bloody idiot.
This was a non Terrorist related incident, it followed on from an earlier stabbing

Its sad to think these days things like this are either terorist or drug related.
Condolences to the families affected by this disaster...

Is it just me or crime rate in melbourne has gone through the roof.
We've also got the whole sudanese and somalian crime gangs going on at the moment too ,

People are getting deported out of her if they're caught but the immigration minister was saying why deport them when we arent looking at the reasons they are turning to crime in the first place.
All i reckon is do what we have to do to make this country safe-er again

Coppers should have shot the fwit and asked questions later.
I am so pissed off with our slack response to crime and looking after the crim while not giving a shit about the true victims.
Sorry about the rant but this really annoys me. Remember if snipers took out thath asshole in Martin Place those innocent victims would still be alive.
RIP to the folk who list their innocent lives today.

Couldn't believe when I heard about this. Hits you hard when you put your self in the shoes of those hit by this tragedy.

I don't care what he says but there is no EXCUSE in the whole world that can justify this. Children involved makes this even worse. What a low life scum bag.

If my daughter was involved I don't know what I would do but I would not let the prick walk away

Looks like the system just keeps on giving these morons a second (3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th etc) chance until they kill or seriously maim someone. But if you are law abiding and make a mistake watch out.

Don't know whether to be furious or to cry ... So so sad.
Whether it is these druggie cockroaches or some filth who thinks their religion is above all.... There is a flaw somewhere in the justice system and this country is turning to shit real quick.
What makes it scary is, if it is like this now ... What's it going to be like when our young ones go out and about ... Always think of my son when I see this shit he is about to turn 4 ... What future will he be venturing through.

Seems like authorities have asked that this witnesses video on that link be removed and some news reports have suddenly edited their original posts too which is odd such as cairnspost

Anyways here it is still on YouTube for now

Trying to remove the religious / jihadist component from the witness statements and news reports perhaps

Seem your thoughts were duplicated on a letter taped to a wall at the floral tribute.
Happens way too often

Got to feel for the law enforcement, moving target, public in line of fire, post shooting risks (car continues to where) and is it a "good kill" all in a heartbeat.

So sad, just so sad. According to last nights news release there is still another 29 people in hospital. Just feel empty....

I'm absolutely disgusted with the Police and their policies. I used to think that because we are not exposed to many terrorist or major shootings ... etc, our Police forces didn't have the experience or training to deal with them. Not so now! After the Lyndt cafe tragedy in Sydney, and how that was mishandled, you would think that they now know what can happen if a situation is left to worsen.

News videos shows police stopping traffic and allowing this clown to drive dangerously in a congested pedestrian area. It was obvious that this was going to turn very bad. The Police need to learn! They must treat every dangerous situation as a life threatening. They should have rammed this guy with a couple of police cars and/or shot him. It's no good after he's killed people to question his mental state. Worry about that after eliminating the risk of death or injury to innocent people.

The police are damned if they shoot, and damned if they don't.

You are right there, doesn't matter what the cops do they will be seen as doing the wrong thing.

Will not defend the bloody judges though.

That is exactly perfect and should be adopted overnight. Bloody sick of this great state going to the sh!t. Time to look after the community as first priority, not the human rights of offenders. The innocent have a human right to feel safe in their community and the cops are pushing sh!t uphill with a pointy stick trying to achieve it.
