Hi all,
An opportunity may have come up in the form of an early GU RD28eti for a very competitive price however the Seller tells me apparently the engine is turning over but not starting details besides that are vague at best however the seller tells me it's probably just a faulty MAF sensor (I have no idea if that would actually be enough to prevent the engine to start). But I do happen to have sitting in a plastic container in my garage an overhauled RD28T IP off a GQ my question has 2 parts can you fit a GQ IP pump to a GU bearing in mind obviously I would need to run a throttle cable, and secondly would (if you can fit it) having the old mechanical IP negate whatever potential ECU issue that might be stopping the old girl from firing up (excluding immobiliser not deactivating the stop solenoid).

Also has anyone given this a go?

Thanks
