is there any way to inspect the inside the bellhousing ?? the pressure plate is stuck!! on a mk sd33 1984

Mate i dunno if its similar to the gq but mine would get stuck temporarily and it was the slave cylinder binding, may pay to check that and the master cylinder

i think i have gotten water in the bell housing when my stater motor was off from the rain and now it wont let me put it in gear ??? i've been told it can be stuck by rust !

but it shouldnt get stuck how long was the starter out for??

Place in gear while engine not running the try to to drag it forward in gear . if you have another vehicle suitable for this. Try dropping clutch in and out. usually 2nd gear is best. The force from driveline is usually enough to brake the rust bonded surfaces.

g'day bloke, same thing happened to me up at stockton beach after driving through salt water and then not driving it for about a week. the clutch plate seized to the pressure plate and i couldn't select a gear although clutch wasn't great after that and needed replacement. went up there to (clean up stockton day) and ended up costing me $2100 but it was all for a good cause....


its like i say to my misses to buy gear for the truck (i could be dead tommorrow) try it it works for me.
