mid north coast nsw, stuarts point. yea i got it at a good price, 3rd owner, service history.
immeditate plans are to fix a bit of rust on the back roof rail, fix wobble in steering.
then in 3-6 mths put new 2inch lift and steering dampener.

runs well
seems a bit down on torque compared to mates 60 series diesel, his seems to hit torque early where as patrol has to work up into it
only my 2nd trip on a beach,, laboured a bit in the soft, 2nd gear high range, in spots foot was to the floor, my mate said it was putting out a fair bit of black smoke.
it has a brand new injector pump, ive been told they may not have had it timed right, hence running a bit rich under load?

i dont know much about diesels but i had a maverick 92 td42 i had a carbon cleaned and gradually i found i had doubled the power and the economy of the engine i was getting 430kms to a 85L tank i had it carboncleaned only the once but just from that 1 clean with every tank of fuel my economy was getting better and better i was getting 650km to the tank just before i rolled it definately well worth the $180 i payedfor the clean
