Hi guys
I have a 2000 Patrol GUII ZD30 and there is a bit of oil down the side of the motor and I have traced it back to somewhere near the intake side of the motor and pulled the intercooler off and noticed a fair bit of oil just under the injectors.

Any thoughts

Cheers guys

Yeah they sure can. The cylinder head has high side walls, to house the cam shafts, injectors etc etc. In the side of these walls are holes which the injectors stick out from. There is a rubber seal here that is used to stop the oil from the top of the head leaking out. Fairly common thing, especially if they haven't been changed before. Unfortunately for you, its a prick of a task to change them. Put aside a day, or two, to do this job. Very fidly.

They do prick of a job
Take the intercooler off throttle body and glow plug rail so you don't bend it
that's the easy bit now you'll need to undo the EGR valve just let it hang out
of the way this will give you easy access to the bracket holding injector pipes
undo pipes from fuel pump or pipe that you need
now you can undo the pipe from the injector move out the way
with a flat screw driver lever out the seal being very careful not to drop the spring
of the end of it
when you put the new 1 in use a piece of wood to help press it in evenly
allow 5 to 6 hours or longer to do this

once you have done this PRIME THE PUMP BEFORE STARTING THE MOTOR
ONCE STARTED LET IDELE AND KEEP PRIMING FOR AT LEAST 3 MIN Or
LONGER TO GET ANY AIR OUT THIS IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT

Good luck with it
