We are looking for a new company car at work.
Looking at a grandpa spec td42 GQ ute, would really love a lowish km td42 ideally with a RWC or very simple to get a RWC.
If anyone finds something on their travels please let us know.
Happy to have rear leaf only but not front!

Yeah ok, bugger, it might be hard to trying to find an unmolested full coil.
Everytime I find a decent one It's full leaf.
I need to find one before end of Jan.

Mine could be if you do a conversion 2 change the TB 2 a TD and then do a chop and put a tray on it.
Its only been on its side once, so 'I would not really call it molested :)

Thansk mate, I saw that but we just don't have time to get it back to a RWC condition.
It would be nice to find one with a little bit of fruit on it though.

I'd hazard a guess and say leaf because of the bench passenger seat which normally come in the DX model. You would have to ask them to send you a photo of under the car to be sure. Also being that it has Broome number plates its probably seen alot of beach work so check it out for rust.

Ok, so I would need to get a RWC in Vic as Vicroads don't accept interstate RWC. Nice!

I found another GQ which seems very stock, 95 model, very neat and clean, body immaculate, inside immaculate, 283k, side steps, brush bars, passenger bench seat with 3 seat belts, nice clean tray, etc.
It does have a Safari turbo which was put on 15 years ago with no IC, no boost or EGT gauge.
Would anyone be weary of this meaning the driver would have no idea or knowledge of what engine temps it was running throughout it's life?

My old GQ wagon was non-intercooled and I had no issues with it. The big thing I guess is if it wasn't overly tuned it should still be ok, assuming whoever tuned it in the first place knew what they were doing. nissannewby may have a better idea.

It's lasted 15 years with that turbo on it so I wouldn't think it's doing much damage if any.

I still clench the steering wheel with a shaky relapse moment when I need to put the foot down or driving up a big hill in this engine.
Looking like this bloke!

I'm sure that's always been in place but nobody seems to care. I think it is in place so that you can't screw the previous owner over by not getting the rego transferred. Just say to the guy that you probably won't be able to get it transferred until the new year.
