Hi all. Our zd30 common rail has lost power and we are stumped. Help!
At first we thought it was airtake so replaced the air intake ducting, then the intercooler, then intercooler and air intake hosing etc, then the vacuum hose which seemed to fix the problem for a few days but started playing up again over the weekend so replaced the mas sensor but still lacking power. Any suggestions cos we are stumped. Trying to avoid a mechanic but starting to think it's the only option. Thanks in advance.

Check the intercooler for possible leaks. If its leaking boost you will suffer power loss.
One tell tale sign of a leaking intercooler is oil deposits on the core of the cooler. If your not sure you can test it easily enough. Remove the cooler, seal up both ends to the cooler..and where the map, not maf, sensor is on the cooler if you removed it. Dunk it in water and pressurise the cooler using a bike pump and a football nozzle attachment. If you see bubbles. Its leaking.

I would check that the Turbo is actually providing Boost.

No Boost = No Power
