Hi everyone, longtime no post.

I saw Ronny Dahl on YouTube using a Silky Katanaboy. Looks like an interesting piece of equipment. Anyone here got or used one?

I have a chainsaw but always on the prowl for new gadgets.

Might be handy to stash in the Patrol on a quick trip into the scrub.

Hi mate, never seen one of these but on extended touring trips i pack the bow saw and spare blades instead of the chainsaw. Smashes through logs so quick, take up bugger all room and no weight. Great things imo. Interesting to see this different version though.

Certainly an impressive hand saw. No doubt. I could imagine cutting some wood at camp whilst having a few sherbets and closing the blade on your fingers. Would make a nice mess.
I usually take my $90 eBay chainy and it lives in my spare wheel bag. Or I take my bow saw. But I do like the Silky....

Looks like it cuts nice & clean in the video, a good alternative to a bow saw, but would be good to see how it goes in green hardwood rather than dry pine.

The Katana looks handy enough, how much "stuff" do you need to take
Years ago I brought a shot gun power head for my spear gun in Cooktown
for $35, used to load that and throw it at trees, nowhere near as good as C4 though
