Speedo on GU working…not working….

Hi Guys, Would anybody here know why my speedo is sometimes working then sometimes decides to not work ?

Also Is this a quick fix

I would be looking at a dry solder joint in the instrument cluster.

Probably what happy has said but, I would do the easiest first and just remove the sender unit and make sure the drive gear has all its teeth and is not slipping on the shaft at all. then look at the electrical connection there for any breakages or dirt in the plug that may be stopping it from working.
If all of the above are good, then set aside a few hours to remove the dash. Not a hard job, but fiddly.

When the speedo stops does the trip meter and odometer also stop working?

Dont know about odometer but the trip meter definitely did.
