Firstly thanks for the welcome.
Secondly any suggestions where to get the GU checked out in Perth, i know i will not be paying a lot,but i still cannot afford to buy something that needs heaps spending on it,and i do not have the experience to check it myself.

You could try Clive at Joondalup 4x4. Clive and his mechanic both own Patrols themselves. Heard only good things about them although I have not used them myself. I am going to see them tomorrow about a few things and will book my truck in if they have time that is suitable.

LOL my Patrol was up there all day. I hope it was being worked on when you were there and not still parked in the waiting bay. I hope you picked up a Western Patrol flyer and business card.
