This is new member JBM Bundy,,,miss my old 4.2 GQ I had in NZ, so wanting to trade back into a patrol again!

Bewdy thanks mate, it's hard to find a good 4.2, so may have to settle for a 3.0 litre, once Ive learnt about the pitfalls and preventions of the earlier models...

Nothing wrong with the 3.0 mate, I own one and love it.. Just gotta do the preventative maintenance..

Thanks for the reassurance, read some scary stuff about the older 3.0's blowing but looks like the sump mods and keeping the fuel sensor clean might be half the battle won. I totally love Patrols which is why I need to get back into one. I did 350,000kms on my GQ 4.2 in NZ and it never missed a beat.
