G'day Guys,
I have recently noticed a problem with my 2.8 GU. I first noticed it on Saturday and it became worse yesterday.
Basically what is happening is when I go to take off from a stopped position, as the clutch engages the revs die right down and it wants to stall (This is while I am giving it as many revs as I usually do) I then have to disengage the clutch, bring the revs up really high and then engage the clutch again.
Once I got the vehicle home, I noticed that when I rev it and take my foot off the throttle, the needle on the tacho would drop down to just above 500 and you would hear it almost die and then it would start to fluctuate going between 500 and 1500 a few times and then it would settle at idle.
Now it no longer fluctuates like that when I rev it but when I take my foot off the throttle it drops down to almost stall point and then jumps back up to normal idle.
Anyone got any ideas of what could be the causing this?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Chris
