Hi guys. I'm looking for a bit more 'go' from my 2.8 and the Steinbauer chip gets a good word around the internet but not a lot of info about the chip in a 2.8 GU. I'm also a little unsure because it gets plugged a lot by 4WD Action and Dieselcare, and some things 4WD Action market aren't the best....
I'm wondering if anyone's got one in their 2.8 GU and what their thoughts are about it? Has the Steinbauer been worth the $450? Does it come close to achieving the 20% more power/torque claim? Did you run it with the factory settings or get it tuned?
Cheers guys.

I take it no one with an RD28 has a Steinbauer, so how about some other chip instead? What's your experience with any chip in the RD28 - worth the $$?

Sorry, bloke. I've had a bit of a search but haven't found much info for you. 20% more power would be nice though. Maybe nissannewby can answer your question.

There isnt a whole lot to be gained but I would be using a unichip over the steinbauer. Dont quote me on it but I believe the only thing really controllable on the rd28 is a basic injection timing solenoid so even some smarts with a simpler plc could net results.
