So... at Rossco's suggestion, I thought it might be of value to members here if anyone was thinking about setting up a Patrol with a custom canopy/pod.
I've written up a total of four blogs to cover my reasonings, thoughts, and decisions, as to how I ended up with the vehicle, and canopy design that I now am using. Some of the credit for how things were done, must go to many of the blokes here who have shared their own builds and enabled me to make better informed decisions as to how to do my own.
Please don't take this as a Toyota v's Nissan thing, it certainly isn't. My personal feelings are that each has it's own strengths and weaknesses, and for us consumers, everything is a bloody compromise that really, we don't want to make.
The following short stories are part of my journey towards enjoying more of this beaut countryside that we have at our right foot-pedals, and I would be more than happy to follow behind any Patrol or show any Patrol driver where I've been already.
With a bit of luck, I plan to be seeing a lot more of this country and am happy to share the stories and experiences with the likes of the great members on this forum. I'm working hard to improve not only my photography and maybe even videography, but more particularly my core abilities at maintaining my vehicle (and thus myself) in truely remote areas where I know that a lot of us want to visit and experience.
To this end, myself and a mate have decided to set up a website and a FB page, and with a bit of luck, perhaps in the future, we are hoping to maybe turn this into some sort of way of life, and possibly even a living.
I'm no different to most of the rest of you lot. Work to keep a family going, live for adventure!

If the below stories are of any use, then I am glad to have helped out as many others here have. Just because I now own a vehicle made by a different manufacturer, hopefully doesn't mean I drive on different tracks.
