Hi guys, first post but have been lurking for the past 6 months got a huge amount of helpful tips so far!

Setting up a rig for doing a trip round Aus next year on a budget, bought a GQ 2.8td 1995 for $2.7k 9 months ago with a blown head gasket and a heap of other problems (it had a pretty hard life before me that I didn't know about), so bought the manual, fixed it up for 2 months to get it roadworthy then went to register it and turned out it was stolen! It was confiscated by the police, 6 months later I rescued it from pickles auctions by buying it (again) from the insurance company. Now I've got it back and slowly getting it up to scratch, I've still got a huge list of things to do to it before December!

Cheers Jack

Thanks guys, it's on the road and is definitely satisfying to drive around, if not a little slow.... Fixed the brakes (frozen slide pins) and steering wobbles this week, the injector pump is leaking out the timing cover plate so gonna hit that up tonight with a new o ring, and going to see if I can sort out the dodgy wiring in the centre console and the fact that 4wd doesn't work this weekend! The patrol bug has bitten....
