I have a 3L CRD cab/chassis GU with canopy. I am going to fit a Donaldson separator and would appreciate any info on the best place to install it - any photos would be a bonus.
Many thanks in advance

There is a thread here somewhere about fitting a CAV glass bowl fuel filter as a pre filter into a GU, albeit a TD42. May give some ideas, but I can’t find it at the moment.

Hey mate . This is where my one was fitted on my CRD. Note: Mine wasn't a Donaldson, but I have for a fact seen a Donaldson filter with the same bracket in same spot.

G'day Hodge,

What micron filter size is that unit? I'm thinking of fitting one myself, and have you plumbed it as a primary or secondary unit? It looks a tight fit in that spot, but I can't think of another location, specially it you have a second battery fitted.
Sorry for all the questions, but would appreciate your advice.

Thanks everyone. I will be using an aluminium bracket off the side of the second battery box.
