Hey guys I'm throwing up the idea of putting a Cummins 5.9 in my 1993 gq swb, has anyone else done a conversion? And what major changes need to be done to the car to withstand the weight/size of the engine?
Also I have not been able to find a conversion kit for a gq online

hi .... just make up a plate to bolt the engine to the gear box its not a big job. Gq box will handle the HP.
May need to up grade your front springs at the most.

Hey Mate. I found a video online here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n8KE2Gh0L8
However, that was in a GU, not a GQ.
Have you checked out this thread? It talks about the adapter kits- http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?22662-Cummins-patrol-conversions
Cheers
