I ended up buying a 1988 safari silvertop for to convert my RD28. I originally bought a TD42 with DTS turbo on it but later found out it wasn't the advertised DTS turbo on the TD42 so I let that one go.

So the donor safari has a bullbar and PTO winch. I was going to sell the bullbar and winch together to get a few $ back but now I'm toying with the idea of changing the winch and bullbar over to my GQ. Is it possible to keep the PTO winch with a low mount turbo and 3 inch exhaust system?

I've heard it may not be possible as the PTO shaft gets in the way of the turbo/dump pipe.

Cheers
Rick

No idea but the PTO would be a killa setup!

Nope, not a Thomas.
I have fitted a few PTO winches over my lifetime, the main issue is where on the winch the shaft come out.
The uni joint for the shaft needs a bit of room and the angle on them can be fairly steep so long as you only use it in a low gear.
Where is the output shaft and how much room around it?

I'll take a few pics of the shaft for you. I'll probably sell the winch and bullbar together. Any idea what they would be worth?

Had a look. Looks like there is no angle on the uni joint. Goes straight into the winch.
