I'm looking at a set of 4WD Supacentre 9 inch round LED driving lights, has anyone had any experience with them? Are they any good?

I took a punt and bought a set a few months ago. They light up my street quite well. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to try them on a long and dark stretch of road as yet (maybe this coming weekend). However, I do not expect them to shine for km's down the road as I can't see that far anyway lol. I'm more interested in the spread on them with a few hundred metres lit up in front, hence me fitting the spread covers. They seem solidly built and are certainly bl00dy heavy. Time will tell as to how long they last. If they give up the ghost then I'll just stick the converted IPF HID's back on.

Im yet to be convinced that LED technology is good enough for driving lights yet
They have barely got headlights Hi/low perfected.
Can I suggest you buy some HID driving lights and compliment them with a decent
light bar as most here have done I think.
Im thinking outback NSW roads with long straight stretches lol
The technology is just not there yet IMO, I'll wait it'll be exciting when it happens

I already have a set of good spot lights that I was thinking of adding HID inserts into. I have had HID driving lights before, they definitely throw light a loooong way, but it is much further than I can actually see. I'm more interested in reasonable throw and good spread. I also have had dramas in stopping the lights from shaking over bumps, and the further they throw light, the more pronounced the shake. The Supacentre LEDs have really good mounts that are designed to minimise shake.
I could use the HIDs and add a light bar but I really would rather keep my 4WD legal, and I can't fit both legally on my bar. This being the case, I really have the option of buying the HID kit and using my spotlights or buying the LED spot lights.

I seen a member with them at our snow trip. Bloody bright for what they are and what you pay that for sure.

A mate has been running a set on his Navara for the last six months with no problems. Having been a passenger at night I can say that they do throw a decent light a few hundred meters up the road as well as a good spread out to the sides. Even when he has been behind me a hundred meters with them on I can clearly see out into the scrub beside me. From memory his were 180 watt each.
Still image from his GoPro out on a track last Easter.
