Hi all,
The thought of performing an engine conversion in Porky has quickly come to a halt after popping past my mechanics work shop this morning.

Orgininally i was looking at going an L98 6 litre v8 engine swap but he has somewhat talked me out of it for a number of reasons.

changing an entire engine leaves for many things to be reconfigured and changed over or upgraded. Not to mention other things that may be required for an engineers cert etc.

So...
Considering he owns a very well known performance work shop in melbourne, and given the fact that i acquiredthe car off him i am assuming he knows better than I, and he said thats what he was going to do to the rig when he had it (turbo charge the 4.5)

He has a spare engine already pulled apart for it in which we can start the rebuild with new pistons rods etc. Think of it as a beefed up 4.5 with better internals thrown in during the rebuild and a T4 sitting next to it.

I will be using a unichip to tune it and map all
Graphs within required parameters.

Have any of you done this sort of work before?
We are looking at around 200 to 250rwkw but that also means that the standard auto may need a bit of an upgrade.
Looking to hear some feed back from fellow pootrol owners who have gone down this track.
Cheers
