auto issues?

hey all,

iv got a 1998 TI gu tb45,

as of late im having issue with the auto transmission where i can reverse out the driveway but when i select D it dosn't quiet go into drive at all, i have to move the selector up and down a few times then back in D before it selects it and you can drive

any ideas what the issue could be anyone else had these issues?, fluid levels are good and up?

Try draining the old fluid out and using some fresh tranny fluid.
Change your filters while you're at it

Take it to someone who knows autos and knows what they're talking about..... no point in taking stans in the dark with these things

As Clunk said. Don't mess about with an auto. It could be costly. Take it to an auto expert.

As said above, get an expert to have a look at it. But having said that, it sounds like it could just need a bit of adjustment in the selector linkages
