Just wondering if the bonnet needs adjusting, I've noticed mine shakes a tad.
Do you just turn the adjusters with the rubber tops half turn to take up the slack.
Never touched my other 4x4 in over 400k, Is it something that needs attention ?

You might need to replace them.. I had a "thudding" sound over bumps that drove me crazy for ages until i figured out what it was.. My bonnet stoppers where screwed.. ordered a couple of replacements and silence again...

If the bonnet sits below the 1/4 pannels then yea adjust up the rubbers untill level..
If it's level and shaking you can adjust down the lock on the radiator support. (Gq that was.. haven't looked at the gu yet)

Yeah, mine started doing the same thing, and rattling a bit 'cos the rubber was completely worn out.
I turned the adjuster down a bit to get the right distance and then glued a pieces of rubber on each one, which I cut
from an old tyre and also cut a round deep notch in the middle of the rubber piece to allow it fit and stay better.
It's been going fine for last three years without any noise. Right thickness of the rubber is important to allow the bonnet lock better without having to slam the bonnet hard and also allowing to unlock the lock with the cable pull without having to push the bonnet manually.

I didn't spend $30 on getting two pieces of rubbers which i thought was a waste of beer money when you can do a better job with a piece of rubber that lies around in the backyard.
