Well, let me tell you a story.
Yesterday I was running as support crew for a Dirt Bike Ride from El Cabalo to Beverly.
You know the drill, tow the trailer, carry all the fuel for them, carry the spares, and carry the medical kit.
Ride was going well and I was following their route along side on a gravel road. Road was corrugated as hell.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, the inevitable happened and a ride went down breaking his collar bone fairly badly. We got the call to come in so off we went.
Ah yeah, I would call it a fairly heavy 4WD trek in about 7km. Wet, rough, trees down etc.
All fine until my radiator cracked from the constant previous corrugations on the roads. Bugga!
Quick discussion with the wife and made the decision, people come first.
So I kept going and picked him and the bike up and pulled them all out to the gravel and ..........................BUGGA!

I managed to get the beast home through some real dodgie fix job.
Radiator is munted as are all the belts. Easy fix.
But the engine warning light will not go out. Any ideas?

Yes, the ZD30. Still runs. 330,000km never let me down once.

Dam it. Drove for most the day today. Temp went up after about 200km. Check radiator...levels low.
No water in the oil, no steamy exhaust.....mmmm, scratch that head.

Had a hairline crack in my GQ radiator about 10 years ago. Only leaked on the freeway after about 10kms. Would idle all day and night and not lose a drop - took ages to work out where the problem was. Even held up to a pressure test at the radiator place without showing the crack.

Might be something similar?
