92 GU 4.2 purchase

Mate of mine is looking at a 92 GU 4.2 , wagon that was cut & stretched to a dual cab / long tray ute when brand new . 1 owner . Anything to look for in that era 4.2 or around the extension area ? Is certified & engineered . Was done in QLD .

I have a mate thats got an extended 4.2 GU, you may have seen it in 4x4 Aust magazine.
Ron and Viv have taken it all over the world and plenty of very remote outback locations
as well, Ill shoot him off an email and get his thoughts on the matter. Have a read of this about the build
some stuff cut the mustard other gear didnt I know he does oil changes every 100k using red line oil

Mate just out of interest is it a gq or a gu. Just that I don't think the gu came out until 1997. In 1992 it was still the gq.
