Hey Guys,

I just banged the welch plug(brass) in the wrong angle and decided take it out and
put another one in properly. In my attempt to take it out, the plug suddenly
went into the water jacket beyond my reach.
I've had no idea this was even possible, as it wasn't with other welch plug holes.
It's an RB30 Patrol.
Any ideas how I can take it out?

Thanx in advance for any tips, advice.

The plug is stuck in the area marked with the blue circle.

Can you see it to drill a hole in it and move it with a bit of stout wire

Nope. It's kinda stuck between the two holes, but can only come out of the left one where it went in.

Take the right one out and push it back, just don't push that one in 2 :)

I've managed to pull it out using a piece of coat hanger, nicely shaped to get inside tight water jacket and grab the stuck plug.

Yep, that's the trick. It worked like a charm after farting around with weaker piece of wires. ;) :D
Coat hanger should be listed as a legitimate tool. :D

I’d have to say it is far more entertaining watching your dramas than I think it would be to experience them first hand! Good result. :Yahoo!:

It's fun for me too. I ended up with the problem 'cos I was a bit of slackarse with a temperamental issue when I was doing the plugs.
I didn't wanna remove the engine mount to give me enough room so I can insert and hit the plug straight into the hole.
So, I had it coming and learnt a valuable lesson(s) along the way. :D
Don't fix anything on the car while you're cranky. It always comes back to bite you in the arse. :) That's the best lesson for me. ;) :D

Sorry mate, I'm a total teetotaller these days. And it's against my principles to buy booze for somebody else as well. :D ;)
But, I can mail you a ginger beer.

Thanx mate.
Cheers
