Greetings from New Zealand.
I have been reading some valuable information on this forum since I bought a 1996 JDM Y60 GQ Safari 5 months ago.
It's pretty awesome that it has TD42T with HT18 turbo fitted from factory(something close to early GU's I supposed) and the only downside is being automatic and odd 320kms on the clock.
I have done a few small works and odds on it and got bigger plans in the future.
I am willing to share what I have done so far and more stuffs in the future.

Ps. Taking engine out tomorrow as replacing crankshaft rear main seal .
