Hey guys,
I had a thread in this section recently trying to solve a rattling problem which I thought may have been due to trim clips missing, however after being bored and deciding to investigate properly I ended up pulling everything off the barn door to find the rattle. Including removing the door opening latch from inside the cavity which was loose and then shutting the door without connecting it back up to see if the rattle had stopped... with drawers in the back made for a very tight situation trying to grab the latch levers and pulling them to open the door again...nearly had myself a genuine problem there!.
Anyway, I found this bad boy hanging by a thread (literally!) on the inside of the door, not a single scrap of glue holding it in place, just some random piece of metal sticking through the hole in it seemed to be the only thing holding it there. I've held it up roughly where it would usually be but inside the cavity. My questions are:
- What's it for?
- Do I need to glue it back into place or can I just leave it out?
- It's got a heck of a lot of yellow glue on the back of it but it was very much not stuck to the frame, any ideas why that would be?

Thanks.
