Ok guys, I'm updating my patrol to a 2008 onwards model. I need the third row seats for my own sanity on long trips. Keep the kids separated with room for all.
This is what I "THINK" I know....
DX no third row seats and
No brackets to attach them to
So my questions to you are.....
Is there a bracket available to be purchased to do the retrofit?
Or do I need to get them fabbed up?
Is the floor pan and pillar standard between models so the attachment points for seat belts and lock downs are there?
Any help with this will be much appreciated.

If you sort it all out, I've got a set here that you can have, saves me a trip to the tip. Where you located?

Yeah cheers mate. I'm on the Sunshine Coast. I actually have a set in my GQ that I was thinking of using but if another pair were close enough I'd take them.

It would be a big job IMO the D pillars with need gussets
for the belts all other captive nuts are not available on the DX.
Go talk to an engineer but still its going to be costly I think
Google may even be your friend here lol

It will need to be engineered to increase the seating capacity so I am with 3D...

Be easier and cheaper to get an ST IMHO

It may be easier to get a two seater facing the rear,,, installed and engineered
Thats option 2
By the sounds of it you haven't brought the Patrol yet ,,,,so as ET said it
would be easier to get a ST or even ST-L or Ti with the rear seats already fitted

Yeah I haven't got the new truck yet. Was just seeing if it was worth the effort with the DX. There are a lot more options if it was a viable thing but I'm thinking of sticking to the ST ST-L
Cheers guys.

Yeah way too much work for no gain, as in nothing on your re-sale for
all the work done, Get the ST-l or ST much easier, no engineering required lol
