engine conversion

Hi all,
I was wondering if the 3.3ltr turbo diesel out of a mq nissan patrol will fit into my gq nissan patrol? Is there alot involved or is it a straight fit?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Please head over to the introductions section and tell us about yourself and your Patrol. Hopefully someone in the know will be able to answer your question. I think you would have trouble with you relevant authority as the engine is older than the current one. I know they will register a newer than stock engine conversion though.

Its just something the forum asks of us all, no harm done.
As for your question You would never get it engineered IMO you need to match years basically as pollution laws differ
year to year.
Would the 3.3 diesel be big enough to motivate a GQ wagon?
