G'day to Everyone.

I'm a 1st time Patrol owner from Southern NSW (Southern Riverina area) Australia. I purchased my 1993 GQ DX 4.2 Manual Diesel Wagon approximately 2 years ago. It's previous life had been spent in the ownership of an older couple who travelled mainly highway kilometres up and down the Australian East coast. The vehicle had travelled 225000k's when I purchased it in April 2009. I fitted a 30mm and 50mm lift, front and rear respectively, and it has now travelled 275,000k's, also mainly on highways. The vehicle tyre badge says it was built with 16's but t wears 15" sunraysias. The vehicle is well looked after, drives like new when bought, apart from a clutch rumble/shudder when beginning to reverse, and was still the same after 12 months. Over the past year I've noticed a slight vibration (seems to be high speed shaft/drive vibe rather than tyre when approaching 100kph - new tyres fitted last November (Bridgestone AT Duelers) and two independant sets of wheel balances and alignments since with no change). Vibration worsens at 103 - 110 kph then stays same at that level and beyond. Drops off and drives liike new again when lowering speed back to below 100kph. Have checked rear tail shaft front and back unis - no slop, rock solid, and have greased with no change. Love this car but I need to solve this problem. Any ideas/advice.

Regards

Mav

Welcome to the forum Mav!

I would copy your question and post it up somewhere else as a lot of members may not go into the introductions section.

Maybe just copy the question and paste it in a new thread under the general chats section and you'll hopefully get a better response.
